“What is this?”

“What is this?”
“Doesn’t you know?” He stands there waiting for an answer; the traveling eye of the listener told him that would never came. “It’s reality”
Came an instant of waiting the weight of the words fall in his head.
“You are looking to something that you never have, the world. But not your feeble world of before, a new world full of meaning and purpose”
“What?” His eyes were still half-open, his mouth was dry, and his perception was drug-like.
“You were not prepared, anyone of us was. But what can we do? There is no kind of training for this situation, for life.” A look of tired sorrow cross his eyes, but vanished once more to his mask of enthusiasm. “You can look at it like a blessing or like a curse, I see it like a burden. We can’t escape from it, we have to live with that, and there are no other options available. Some say this bring a purpose, a meaning to their lives, but this is just another escape of the inevitable truth.”
Half-listening the other man stand up in the barely lightened room. The situation was outrageous, he doesn’t remember how he gets there, he only remembers the light. He sits in a layer of dust that was above what one day was a comfortable armchair. The memories begun to come back, but his “high” state didn’t help.
“… this is utterly important and extremely necessary!” He stop the speech under a suspicious idea. “Are you even listening? This is your life now. Don’t take your responsibilities so lightly.”
The pain, no… the extreme sensitivity of his new state trouble his concentration, but that guy talking was even worse. Normally he would never stand against such guy, but he thinks that it was like when he was drunk, his fears have disappeared.
